Melissa Homecoming Week is just around the corner, October 16-20, 2023. We invite the community and all Cardinals to join in the fun! The festivities kick-off Monday with themed dress-up days, followed by the Homecoming parade and Community Pep Rally on Wednesday.
Themed Dress-Up Days: Students in grades 6-12 will have the chance to participate in themed dress-up days throughout Homecoming Week. All Melissa ISD students are encouraged to participate in Cardinal Spirit Day on Friday, Oct. 20. Homecoming mums may be worn to school on that day.
Homecoming Parade: The annual Homecoming parade will kick off the celebration on Wednesday, October 18 at 6:30 p.m. This year, the parade will follow a new route that wraps around Coach Kenny Deel Stadium. Be sure to arrive early for parking and tailgating. With over 50 floats this year, the parade and pep rally is sure to be filled with lots of Cardinal spirit! Wednesday’s celebrations will be followed by the Homecoming football game against the Greenville Lions on Friday, Oct, 20, and the Hometown Homecoming dance for Melissa High School students on Saturday, Oct 21.
