Each year Melissa ISD students who are part of the Future Health Professionals group, HOSA, host a Toys for Tots toy drive in an effort to bring hope and joy to children in need during the holiday season. This year, the group is inviting fans to show their Cardinal spirit by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the final regular season home football game against Lovejoy on Thursday, Nov. 2. Toy collection boxes will be located at all entrances to Coach Kenny Deel Stadium and all toys collected will be given to children in the North Texas area.
All donated toys will need to follow the guidelines below:
- New toys only
- Unwrapped items
- For any age or gender
- NO weapons
- NO food or perishable items
Tickets for the Thursday night game can be purchased online at www.melissaisd.org/tickets. Gates will open at 6 p.m. with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
