Melissa ISD acknowledges and celebrates January as School Board Recognition Month, recognizing the dedication and commitment of its Board of Trustees. Members currently serving on the Melissa Schools Board of Trustees include George James, Paul Anderson, Amy Feagin, Dr. Bill Gray, Omar Landrum, Quentin Thomason, and Darren Thompson.
The Texas Association of School Boards has selected “Locally Elected, Community Connected” as this year’s theme, highlighting the connection between school trustees and their communities.
School Board Recognition Month is one way that we, as a district and community, can extend our appreciation to our school trustees for volunteering their time to ensure that Melissa ISD is providing a top-notch educational experience for all the students of Melissa.
