The Melissa High School theatre program will present two free shows on Friday, May 12 at the Melissa Arts Center, performing their award-winning UIL One-Act Play productions. The first show begins at 7 p.m. with “The Sweet Science of Bruising” performed by the Black Box Company (JV Theatre), followed by “A Monster Calls” performed by the Main Stage Company (Varsity Theatre). The Melissa High School Senior Class of 2023 will participate in the annual Senior Walk tradition the morning of Monday, May 22. Family members are invited to attend the Senior Walk at the elementary campus of their choosing; all visitors must check in at the front office upon arrival. Seniors will arrive at the elementary campuses according to the following schedule: Willow Wood Elementary at 8:45 a.m.; Harry McKillop Elementary at 9:30 a.m.; and North Creek Elementary at 10:15 a.m.
