Melissa High School cheerleading tryouts for the 2024-2025 school year are scheduled for the evening of Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, open to students entering grades 9-12. Students who are interested in trying out for the cheerleading squad should make note of the important activity dates and requirements below.
- Prior to participating in cheerleading tryouts, it is highly encouraged for the student to attend an informational meeting with their parent or guardian at 5:30 p.m. on either Monday, Jan. 18 or Monday, Jan. 29 in the Student Union at Melissa High School.
- To learn and practice the tryout material, students should attend one or more of the Tryout Material Clinics held immediately after school from Feb. 5-7 at the Sixth Grade Center gym until 6:00 p.m. Here you will learn tryout material and be evaluated on your stunting abilities.
- Tryouts will be held immediately after school until completion on Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Sixth Grade Center gym. Tryout results are expected to be posted online at www.melissaisd.org/cheer after school on Friday, February 9.The results can only accessed by Melissa ISD students using their school email address.
